Job summary

Harmony House Care Center is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the Clinical Department in our skilled nursing facility. You will set department goals, mentor the nursing team, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain the highest standard of resident care.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in nursing, an Iowa RN license (or compact state), at least 5 years of RN experience with prior leadership experience, preferably as DON or in SNF settings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in science, nursing or related field.
• Unencumbered RN license (Iowa or compact state).
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience.
• Previous experience managing a department; DON or SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing department objectives and goals.
• Inspire and develop the clinical team.
• Oversee all aspects of the Nursing Department and ensure high standard of resident care.

As a Director of Nursing you are the heart of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Harmony House Care Center by instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, setting and attaining Nursing Department goals, inspiring your clinical team, creative problem solving and overseeing all aspects of the Clinical Department. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, associate’s degree in science, nursing or related field, an unencumbered State ofIowa (or compact state) Registered Nurse (R.N.) license, 5 years of R.N. experience, and previous experience managing a department. Prior Director of Nursing or experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.
