Job summary

Seasons Rehab & Healthcare Center is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and drive high-quality patient care in a 78-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility in Kansas City. You will oversee RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while supporting clinical excellence and compassion in care.

The DON will play a key role in budgeting, policy development, and staff development, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Active MO Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum two years of experience as Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing facility.
• Strong clinical acumen and adherence to standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the Nursing Service Department.
• Direct, oversee and evaluate nursing personnel (RNs, LPNs, CNAs).
• Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department.
• Develop and enforce policies for compliance and high-quality care.
• Control budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Resolve issues and deficiencies as needed.
• Manage record-keeping procedures.

Director of Nursing (DON) Job Requirements:

• Licensed Registered Nurse with an active, unencumbered current MO license.
• Minimum two (1) years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing facility.
• Exemplary clinical acumen and execution of standards of practice.
• Exceptional command of local, state, and federal regulations.
• Ability to respond calmly and professionally in challenging environments or situations.
• Effective computer skills.
• Extraordinary interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Powerful desire to improve the lives of others.
• BSN is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities for Director of Nursing (DON):
