Job summary

Valley Hill Health & Rehab in Hendersonville, NC seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing Service Department, ensuring quality resident care and regulatory compliance. The DON works with the Administrator and Medical Director to maintain high standards and a patient-centered environment.

Requirements include an active RN license in the state, CPR/BLS certification, and at least two years of supervisory experience in a nursing setting, with basic computer and EHR skills.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license in the state you work.
• Must hold CPR or BLS certification.
• Minimum two years in a supervisory role in a nursing/healthcare setting, preferably long-term care.
• Must have basic computer skills and ability to use electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

As the Director of Nursing in a SNF setting it is your responsibility to organize, develop, manage, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community. The Director of Nursing is to work directly with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualification:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work.

• Must possess a current CPR or BLS certification.

• Must have a minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a nursing community or other related healthcare community, preferably in long term care.

• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
