Job summary

Complete Care at Whispering Woods in Edison, NJ seeks an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing team and oversee high-quality clinical care for assisted living residents.

The DON will provide clinical leadership, support nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote safety, dignity, and exceptional resident care in a hands-on leadership role.

Qualifications

• RN license required (NJ)
• Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Assisted living, long-term care, post-acute, or similar senior care experience required
• Strong knowledge of clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and resident care
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Compassionate, hands-on leadership approach

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day nursing operations and clinical services.
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff while promoting accountability and teamwork.

• Monitor clinical practices, documentation, medication management, and resident outcomes.
• Coordinate with physicians, families, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers.

• Participate in surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage staffing needs and help maintain appropriate nursing coverage.
• Respond to resident and family concerns with professionalism and urgency.

Complete Care at Whispering Woods is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical care to our assisted living residents.

The Director of Nursing will provide clinical leadership, support nursing staff, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and promote a culture centered on resident safety, dignity, and quality of care.
