Job summary

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at River Valley, now managed by Highbridge Healthcare, is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team. This DON will oversee nursing operations, resident care, regulatory compliance, staffing, and clinical services at our Poughkeepsie facility.

The DON will lead clinical teams, mentor ADONs and Unit Managers, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and drive performance improvement through QAPI plans and staff education.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license required.
• Minimum of five years in a long-term care nursing management role.
• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory processes.
• Ability to educate and train staff on State and Federal regulations.
• Complete knowledge of functions of a long-term care facility.
• Excellent communication and advanced leadership abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on best clinical practices to the clinical leadership team.
• Collaborate with regional and local clinical staff to establish quarterly and annual performance improvement goals and write quarterly QAPI plans.
• Support and facilitate company values, practice standards, and ethics policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine mock surveys and survey preparation to ensure compliance.
• Act as mentor and coach for ADON and Unit Managers to ensure success at the facility.
• Manage costs, ensure compliance with policies/procedures, and uphold State/Federal regulations and current standards of practice.
