Job summary

Haralson Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing services, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality outcomes. The role requires RN licensure and DON experience with a strong customer-service focus.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 2 years DON leadership experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility required.
• Strong knowledge of nursing skills and medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a safe, efficient manner.

Job description

Haralson Nursing and Rehab is currently seeking a Director of Nursing (DON). The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Director of Nursing (DON) experience, and be a strong leader and customer service focused. $10k sign on bonus

Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON):

• Provide care and services in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure quality performance and conformance with regulation and laws
• Participate in state/federal nursing home survey process
• Write resultant plan of corrections and ensure they are carried out
• Participate in the QA/CQI process
• Performs/assigns completion of preadmission assessments on a timely basis
• Provides care as defined within the scope of the state's nurse practice act.
• Prepares clinical and progress notes and summaries of care.
• Supervises, educates and coaches other nursing personnel/care-giving staff.
• Plans and implements in-service and training programs.
• Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
• Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing. Shares information with appropriate organization personnel.

Requirements of the Director of Nursing (DON):

• Registered Nurse license
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• At least 2 years of DON experience is preferred
• Supervisory experience in Skilled Nursing Facility is required.
• Knowledge of basic nursing skills
• Knowledge of the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered
• Nurse Management: 5 years
