Job summary

Adept Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest quality of resident care. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and a passion for fostering a collaborative environment.

The DON will plan, organize, and direct nursing operations, supervise nursing personnel, liaise with residents and families, and ensure compliance with state laws and long-term care guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Nebraska.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a DON in a long-term care setting.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in nursing management.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct overall nursing department operations.
• Provide administrative and functional supervision over nursing personnel.
• Lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Liaise with residents, families, and support departments to plan for resident needs.
• Ensure compliance with state laws, regulations, and long-term care guidelines.
• Oversee state reporting and implement plans of correction.
• Uphold company policies including compliance and harassment procedures.
• Maintain integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
