Job summary

SN in Jacksonville, FL seeks a qualified Director of Clinical Services / Director of Nursing to lead clinical management and staff. The role emphasizes resident-centered care, team development, and adherence to policies across regulatory standards.

You will oversee budgeting, staffing, and quality of care, providing education and mentorship while ensuring safe, high-quality patient outcomes in a resident-focused community.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license to practice.
• RN Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of experience in nursing services administration with demonstrated leadership.
• Training or experience with the same age/type of resident population served by the center.
• Knowledge of management, planning and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management and clinicians.
• Ensure delivery of high quality, efficient and safe patient care; in the Executive Director's absence, uphold resident care policies.
• Set and monitor goals for nursing department aligned with philosophy and practice standards.
• Recruit, hire and retain qualified nursing staff per staffing plan and state requirements.
• Update competency/skills checklists for nursing staff, including contracted staff.
• Prepare and adhere to annual nursing department budget.
• Maintain policies reflecting regulatory guidelines and person-centered care.
• Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Ensure compliance with resident rights and address grievances.
• Innovate to improve systems and processes for superior results.
