Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Director of Nursing who will lead a large nursing organization across hospitals. You will manage Nurse Managers and collaborate with clinical specialists to advance nursing practice and patient care.

You will shape strategic and operational plans, integrate services, and ensure ongoing professional development. The role requires a BSN, a master's degree in a health-related field, Ohio RN license, and 7+ years of progressive

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in health care related field required; Master’s in Nursing preferred.
• Current Ohio License (RN) required.
• Seven years progressive Administrative/Management experience required.
• Professional certification in Nursing Administration or clinical practice desired with attainment within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team that includes Nurse Managers and Assistant Nurse Managers and collaborate with clinical specialists, educators and consultants.
• Oversee multiple units across hospitals and establish a vision and strategic/operational plans for the department and Medical Center.
• Evaluate manager and employee performance and ensure quality patient care and satisfaction.
• Develop policies and procedures to guide and support department services; ensure compliance and resource planning.
