Position Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the Clinical Services department in compliance with federal, state, and local standards. The Director of Nursing will collaborate with the administrative team to create an effective work environment that provides high-quality care while fostering a culture of empowerment and educational growth.

Qualifications
  • Current RN license in Texas
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Experience in nurse management within long-term or skilled nursing care (preferred)
Essential Functions
  • Develop and oversee staff scheduling
  • Plan and conduct in-service training sessions
  • Approve and validate payroll for the clinical department
  • Create and implement resident care plans in coordination with physicians, medical directors, and staff
  • Assess the quality of care provided
  • Develop policies and procedures for nursing and related services
  • Manage staff performance, recruitment, retention, and development
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to improve patient care and staff development
  • Plan and manage departmental budgets
  • Evaluate staffing and service efficiency and effectiveness
  • Represent nursing interests at meetings and committees
  • Foster positive relationships with patients, residents, families, and guests
  • Communicate tactfully and appropriately in sensitive situations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
