  • The Director of Business Administration - Nursing and Advanced Practice will be responsible for financial and operational business lines within the Department of Nursing. The individual in this position will provide leadership, direction, growth, and administration of operations, budget, and finance. They will work closely with the Nurse Executive team in support of overall operations, business planning, and financial management, ensuring the accomplishment of goals and objectives. They will have a dual reporting structure through Nursing and Advanced Practice Executive leadership and partner closely with the HUP Finance team. This position will have direct reports in the Office of Advanced Practice and the administrative support team. The Director partners with HUP CNE, ACNOs, Director of Advanced Practice, Finance team, and Clinical Directors/Directors to develop and maintain the strategic plan and budget for the Department of Nursing and ensure strategic goals are aligned with HUP goals. This position will be allocated 75% to Nursing and 25% to Advanced Practice.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Department of Nursing financial performance and partner with Nurse Executive team to create, prepare, implement, control, and monitor budget. Responsible for explaining budget variance.

Work with leadership to provide project management with respect to performance improvement, pilots, and new/enhanced programs.

Identify areas of opportunity and work with the Nurse Executive team to advance strategic initiatives, achieve goals, develop new programs, and problem solve.

In partnership with CNE/ACNOs/Director of Advanced Practice, develop policies, procedures, workflows to optimize the operational and financial position of the Department.

Foster alignment in Department operations to ensure effective financial stewardship and leverage financial and operational data across the Nursing Department to inform planning, decisions, and interventions.

Develops and maintains CNE Operational budget.

Credentials

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
  • Education Specialization: Business/Healthcare Administration
  • 5+ years Business/Healthcare Administration Experience Preferred
  • Master of Arts or Science Preferred
