Job summary

Anthem Memory Care is seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee all aspects of resident care, including initial assessments and ongoing supervision of the Care team. You will hire, train, and manage staff and ensure compliance with clinical standards while meeting budget goals.

The role requires a RN licensed Nurse with a Bachelor's degree and hands-on leadership in a senior living community. Strong clinical oversight and operational budgeting are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in a senior living community.
  • Three years in a management/supervisory position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing may substitute for three years of experience.
  • Or equivalent training and experience providing required skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee resident care and ensure compliance with care plans.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and coordinate Care Assistants and related staff.
  • Supervise the care team including Medication Services Technicians, Care Assistants and Resident Care Coordinator.
  • Meet budget goals, monitor expenses and establish care thresholds for residents.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION:

Under limited supervision, is responsible for all aspects of resident care including initial and ongoing assessments; hiring, training, supervising, managing and coordinating resident Care Assistants.

SCOPE:

Supervisory Responsibility: Supervise the resident care team of the community that includes the following positions:

  • Medication Services Technicians
  • Care Assistants
  • Resident Care Coordinator

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY:

Responsible for meeting budget goals, expenses and established care thresholds for the resident

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of three years of experience in a senior living community; a minimum of three years of experience in a management/supervisory position; a bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field may be substituted for three of the years of experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities

CERTIFICATION AND CLEARANCE:
  • A current and valid Nursing License.
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption, as required by law
