Job summary

WellTech Partners is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations at our home health agency in Redlands, CA. You will supervise nursing teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive patient-focused care across the organization.

This role requires California RN licensure, 3–7 years as a DON or related leadership in CA home health, a BSN, and a track record in quality improvement, staff development, and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted California RN license.
• 3-7 years of experience as a DON, Clinical Supervisor, and/or DPCS in a California-licensed home health agency.
• BSN from an accredited institution.
• Strong knowledge of California home health regulations, CMS Conditions of Participation, and clinical compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, staff supervision, quality improvement, and home health operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations, patient care standards, and clinical documentation.
• Lead, supervise, and support clinical supervisors, RN Case Managers, and nursing personnel.
• Ensure compliance with CDPH, CMS, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Manage QAPI initiatives, audits, and regulatory survey readiness.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, competency assessments, and staff development.
• Monitor patient census, staffing, productivity, and clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, physicians, and referral sources to support quality care and agency growth.
• Provide hands-on clinical training to new RNs, RN Case Managers, and other DONs, including accompanying trainees on home visits to demonstrate clinical procedures, patient care, and documentation practices.
• Perform direct patient care when needed for training or operational support.

An established home health and hospice provider is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee clinical operations, lead nursing teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote high-quality, patient-centered care.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinical leader with a strong background in California home health to support staff development, quality improvement, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations, patient care standards, and clinical documentation.
• Lead, supervise, and support clinical supervisors, RN Case Managers, and nursing personnel.
• Ensure compliance with California Department of Public Health (CDPH), CMS, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Manage Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives, audits, and regulatory survey readiness.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, competency assessments, and staff development.
• Monitor patient census, staffing, productivity, and clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, administrative teams, physicians, and referral sources to support quality care and agency growth.
• Provide hands-on clinical training to new RNs, RN Case Managers, and other DONs, including accompanying trainees on home visits to demonstrate clinical procedures, patient care, and documentation practices.
• Perform direct patient care when needed for training or operational support. Routine patient visits are generally not expected outside these circumstances.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted California RN license.
• 3-7 years of experience as a DON, Clinical Supervisor, and/or DPCS in a California-licensed home health agency.
• BSN from an accredited institution.
• Strong knowledge of California home health regulations, CMS Conditions of Participation, and clinical compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, staff supervision, quality improvement, and home health operations.
• Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and required automobile insurance, as applicable.

Preferred: Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; experience with regulatory surveys, QAPI, and clinical staff training.
