Our client is an award winning and nationally recognized pediatric hospital with an exciting new opportunity for a Director of Nursing to oversee our nursing staff. As the Director of Nursing, you would have a multitude of important functions. You would join a team that has been working together for many years and have an opportunity to work with our executive leadership team.

Title: Director of Nursing

Location: Lower Westchester County NY

Salary: $180,000 to $220,000 + full comprehensive benefits

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing registered nurses in our hospital setting
• Involved with hiring decisions and performance reviews
• Working with executive staff to ensure patient care is of high quality
• Developing policies and procedures
• Implementing strategic plan to assist daily nursing practice
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare workers such as Physical Therapists and MD’s
• Documenting notes in EMR system when appropriate
• Develop plans to make nursing services more efficient

Requirements:

• New York State Registered Nurse license
• BSN or Masters of Nursing Degree
• Minimum 5 years of nursing leadership experience with pediatrics
• Strong experience working in pediatrics
• BLS
