Painted Grove Recovery is seeking a Director of Nursing in Louisville, KY. The role leads nursing staff, oversees patient care, and ensures regulatory compliance in a behavioral health setting.

The position requires an active RN license, a BSN, and 3+ years of leadership experience, with MSN or higher preferred. The role includes on-site leadership, infection control, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the nursing staff to foster a collaborative team.
• Oversee patient care including medication management, assessments, documentation, and quality standards.
• Manage nursing schedules and ensure effective coverage and PRN depth.
• Provide mentorship and ongoing professional development for nursing staff.
• Oversee the Intake Team to ensure smooth patient admissions.
• Implement and manage infection control, risk management, and incident reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Serve as a role model by providing direct care when needed as Manager on Call.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.

Schedules

• Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm). Rotating Manager on Call Schedule

Compensation

• $90,000 /Annually + Benefits (Vision, Medical, Dental, Paid Time Off)

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the nursing staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment
• Oversee all aspects of patient care, including medication management, assessments, documentation, and quality standards
• Manage and maintain nursing schedules, ensuring effective coverage and strong PRN depth
• Provide mentorship, training, and ongoing professional development for nursing staff
• Oversee the Intake Team to ensure patients have a smooth and supportive admission process
• Implement and manage infection control systems, risk management protocols, and incident reporting procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
• Serve as a role model by demonstrating strong nursing skills and stepping in to provide direct care when needed
• Take on leadership responsibilities as “Manager on Call” and support seamless facility operations
• Identify and implement improvements that enhance patient experience and operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice
• BSN required; MSN or higher preferred
• 3+ years of nursing leadership or management experience, preferably in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or related healthcare setting
• Strong clinical knowledge with proven ability to lead, coach, and develop nursing teams
• Familiarity with regulatory standards, including Joint Commission, infection control, and risk management
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Authorization to work in the U.S. required
