Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for nursing services and clinical operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and nursing leadership staff.
• Ensure residents receive high-quality, individualized, and compassionate care.
• Oversee nursing staffing, scheduling, and appropriate clinical coverage.
• Monitor resident outcomes, changes in condition, care plans, and clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and standards.
• Oversee quality assurance, performance improvement, infection prevention, and resident safety initiatives.
• Participate in and prepare the nursing department for regulatory surveys and audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve clinical processes, quality measures, and resident outcomes.
• Partner with the MDS team to support accurate assessments, documentation, care planning, and reimbursement processes.
• Oversee the hiring, orientation, training, performance management, and ongoing development of nursing staff.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapy, social services, administration, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain open communication with residents and families and assist with addressing clinical concerns.
• Monitor nursing policies and procedures and ensure consistent implementation throughout the department.
• Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, resident safety, and quality care.
