As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Director of National Retail Sales.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of National Retail Sales to lead our Retail sales initiatives with major grocery retail customers across the country. The ideal candidate will manage two talented Inside Sales Managers and oversee our U.S. domestic Retail sales efforts while building strong, long-term customer relationships. This role requires a thought leader who can engage customers with data and insights to drive category growth, contributing to both the top and bottom lines of the company. The Director will be a consultative partner who leads through servant leadership, fostering innovation and driving the introduction of new products to meet market demands.

Knowledge, Skill And Experience Required

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales leadership in the Retail grocery arena, with a proven track record of success in managing national accounts.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership experience, with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Analytical Skills: Expertise in using data to drive sales and category growth, with an ability to identify actionable insights.
  • Customer-Centric: A deep understanding of customer needs and a passion for developing long-term partnerships with key accounts.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data and insights in an understandable and compelling manner.
  • Innovation Focus: A demonstrated ability to innovate and drive product development within a highly competitive retail environment.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth in major retail accounts nationwide, with a focus on private label sales initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor two Inside Sales Managers, providing guidance, support, and leadership to ensure success across all retail accounts.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and nurture strong, strategic relationships with key retailers, becoming a trusted partner who provides value through data-driven insights and category growth strategies.
  • Thought Leadership: Serve as a thought leader in the sales space by delivering innovative ideas, trends, and insights that drive mutual business success with customers.
  • Consultative Approach: Lead customer engagements with a consultative approach, offering solutions that align with the customer’s business goals and objectives.
  • Data and Insights: Leverage data analytics to help customers optimize their frozen vegetable categories and drive sales growth.
  • Innovation and Product Development: Identify new product opportunities and collaborate with the product development team to bring innovative frozen vegetable solutions to market.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to meet with customers, attend trade shows, and support sales initiatives across the country.
  • Servant Leadership: Lead with a servant leadership mentality, empowering your team and collaborating cross-functionally to meet the needs of the customer and company.
