About The Position:
This 10-month position will hold responsibility for overseeing all aspects of a highly competitive NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country and Track & Field Program as well as perform the duties as the Head Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country program. Duties include, but are not limited to, supervising the day-to-day operations of the programs, developing a strategic vision for success and administration of the programs, as well as creating an effective recruiting and retention plan of student-athletes for SUNY Plattsburgh and ensuring it’s carried out by all program coaches. Budget development and management, team travel, fundraising, running practices, game supervision, academic mentoring, and community service is also included. This position reports to the Director of Athletics & Recreation. The department of Athletics & Recreation subscribes to the philosophy that athletics complements the total education experience of our students. We allow multiple ways for students to compete or participate in a variety of quality athletic programs consistent with the overall educational mission of SUNY Plattsburgh. We are part of the Enrollment and Student Success division which supports a student’s entire collegiate experience from the point of admission through to graduation. We partner with students, faculty and staff to provide a network of opportunities and services that lead to student success.
