Director of Medical Staff Services

Near Thousand Oaks, CA

Our client is a licensed 380+ bed acute care facility. Fully accredited by The Joint Commission, Our client has the only Level II Trauma Center in Eastern Ventura County and the only Emergency room in both Los Angeles and Ventura Counties with the coveted EDAP (Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics) rating.

The Director of Medical Staff Services is an administrative professional who directs, coordinates and administers the operations and activities of the department in order to achieve the organization’s established goals. The Director is a liaison between the Medical Staff and hospital management, and maintains good communication among all health disciplines and hospital departments. The Director assists the Medical Staff in accomplishing its required functions, and is responsible for the development of positive working relationships to accomplish short and long range goals established by the Medical Staff and Administration.

Minimum Education:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Business or professional college with academic background.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Certification NAMSS - National Association of Medical Staff Services - STRONGLY PREFERRED.
  • Needs to be CPMSM certified.
  • Minimum Work Experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in medical staff management and progressively responsible administrative work.
  • A minimum of 3 year’s supervisory experience.
  • Must Have Recent (Within the Last Year Acute Care Experience).
