Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Houston, Texas seeks a Director of Mechanical Engineering to provide strategic and technical leadership across mechanical engineering, project engineering, and product data management. You will guide hyper-mobile turbine packaging initiatives, drive first-article development, and coordinate with electrical, controls, automation, manufacturing teams, and external partners.

The role requires a four-year degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, 5+ years of PM and design

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (BSME/BSEE) or equivalent.
• Five+ years of project management experience.
• Five+ years of design or design software experience; turbine packaging is a plus.
• Knowledge of aero and industrial turbines and electrical/controls knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute hyper-mobile turbine packaging designs.
• Lead the project engineering function and manage timelines.
• Oversee mechanical engineering, including 3D models and vendor management.
• Manage the engineering change process with supply chain and accounting.
• Coordinate with electrical, controls, automation, and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure work aligns with safety processes and site policies.
