Job summary

American Institute is seeking a Program Director to coordinate and ensure smooth operation of their instructional departments, aiming for high student retention and placement rates in alignment with accreditation standards. The role also requires teaching duties as determined with the Director of Education and Campus leadership.

You will lead staffing, orientation, performance evaluations, and curriculum enhancement, while overseeing clinical/externship components and advisory committee

Qualifications

• Educational requirements set by accrediting bodies or regulators.
• Experiential requirements set by accrediting bodies or regulators.
• Certification/licensure or similar status as required by accrediting bodies.
• Prior teaching or management experience.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
• Computer literacy/basic computer skills to navigate required technology.

Responsibilities

• Staffing and recruitment within the department.
• Orient and train new faculty members.
• Evaluate faculty and staff performance; propose professional development.
• Instruct classes, serve as substitute teacher, plan teaching schedules.
• Supervise faculty and manage departmental facilities; lead meetings.
• Communicate with faculty; advise students and faculty; ensure operations.
• Administer retention programs; ensure accreditation compliance.
• Maintain syllabi; coordinate graduation ceremonies; cover make-up sessions.
