Job summary

ARCH Medical Solutions in Blandon, PA seeks a Director of Operations to lead manufacturing, production, and throughput across a precision machining facility. You will partner with the General Manager to ensure on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and growth.

You will develop plans, establish standards, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement while aligning with regulatory requirements and ISO standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Five or more years of manufacturing leadership experience; preferably within a precision machining/CNC manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team development skills.
  • Ability to manage production activities, resources, and budgets to meet quality, delivery, and profitability goals.
  • Ability to analyze operational data, implement process improvements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, blueprints, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 or ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains manufacturing operations plans including program requirements, labor hours, cycle costs, and production targets.
  • Establishes production and quality standards, budgets, and data on orders, delivery dates, and quantities.
  • Guides manufacturing process planning including personnel, materials, subcontracting, and tooling needs.
  • Ensures costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Coordinates activities with other functions and suppliers for optimal resource utilization.
  • Reviews production reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize delays.
  • Performs admin tasks for effective shop operations and data reporting.
  • Defines responsibilities for organizational roles to meet business objectives.
  • Trains staff to comply with policies, procedures, and regulations.

Description

Position Overview

The Director of Operations manages all activities related to operations, production and throughput across a precision machining manufacturing facility. The Director of Operations works in tandem with the General Manager to ensure customer satisfaction, on-time delivery and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and image.
  • Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
  • Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
  • Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
  • Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
  • Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
