Job summary
Anduril Industries is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering to lead manufacturing engineering across the Arsenal-1 factory in Columbus, OH, driving safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency as we scale high-growth production. The role demands Lean leadership, advanced manufacturing expertise, and effective team development.
The ideal candidate will have 15+ years in manufacturing engineering with 7+ years in senior roles, deep knowledge of automation, DfM/DFx, and experience with NPI,
Qualifications
- 15+ years in manufacturing engineering and operations
- 7+ years in senior leadership roles
- Experience with NPI and scaling production for high-growth environments
- Experience developing and using digital manufacturing tools for design/analysis
- Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory compliance (ISO, FDA, AS9100) preferred
- Familiar with PLM, MES, and TES systems
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a long-term manufacturing engineering strategy aligned with company goals
- Drive innovation in manufacturing processes, automation, and technology adoption
- Architect requirements for next-generation digital manufacturing tools
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers and staff
- Partner with R&D to ensure smooth transition of new products from design to production
- Plan and manage budgets, resources, and headcount for scaling production
