Director of Maintenance Judson Manor

General Purpose:

This is a working director position and will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all maintenance operations, ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective upkeep of facilities, equipment, and systems while minimizing downtime and maximizing operational effectiveness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all corporate compliance guidelines and procedures are observed.
  • Ensure departmental policies and procedures are consistent with the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all safety, building, ODH, and other regulatory rules/codes are followed.
  • Ensure the facilities are successfully maintained to be safe, clean, and attractive.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order.
  • Maintain appropriate stock of supplies to meet the needs of the campus.
  • Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program.
  • Maintain necessary logs required by code or regulations.
  • Coordinate and oversee work done by outside service providers.
  • Inspect storage areas semi-annually to assess security, safety, and organization of storage.
  • Observe all company rules and safety procedures.
  • Attend necessary seminars and workshops to remain familiar with revisions/updates.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and serve on call for emergencies.
  • Work with Executive Director to develop annual operation and capital expenditures budgets.
  • Manage budget to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Hire, manage, and evaluate maintenance department associates.
  • Maintain collaborative interdepartmental relationships, geared towards problem-solving, making improvements, and supporting organizational goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Certifications:

High school diploma with a minimum of five (5) years experience in this field, or a related field. Strong knowledge of OSHA and ODH requirements. Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills. Computer proficiency is required.

Physical Requirements.

Physical demands may include kneeling, climbing, reaching, and standing for extended periods, crouching, stooping, lifting up to 100 lbs., and repetitive motion.

Working Conditions. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures for prolonged periods, inclement weather, confined spaces, high elevations, and limited lighting.
