Job summary

Pernod Ricard in Fort Smith, Arkansas seeks a Director of Engineering to lead all engineering, maintenance, capital projects and tech activities at the Fort Smith site. You will drive reliability, budget performance and customer service, while shaping short- and long-term plans in line with operations strategy.

Lead a team to improve equipment reliability, implement cost controls, and collaborate with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• 8 years of professional experience in an engineering leadership role with a strong track record in leading change in a unionized environment.
• Experience implementing and maintaining a best practice preventative and predictive maintenance program.
• Experience in project management and delivering transformational change in maintenance techniques and practices.
• Thorough understanding of lean manufacturing techniques.
• Knowledge of OHSA.
• Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Project) and production systems, JD Edwards and Kronos Payroll.

Responsibilities

• OHSA - Ensure compliance of Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Establishing targets in equipment reliability and service standards, monitors performance against these targets/standards and determines root cause fixes.
• Oversee maintenance, engineering and capital budgets, monitor cost and effectiveness of activities.
• Set high performance expectations and hold teams accountable.
• Develop long term strategic plans to drive maintenance performance to world class standards.
• Negotiate supplier and vendor contracts to secure favorable terms.
• Build a competent maintenance and engineering team through coaching and training.
• Plan, organize and manage capital projects, delivering results on-time and on-budget.
• Chair subcontracting meetings.
• Collaborate with partners and customers to ensure business success.
• Develops business strategy for Maintenance & Engineering department and align with performance plans.
• Drive Continuous Improvement culture using Lean tools.
• Ensure ISO 18001/9001/22000/14001 programs delivered on time; action non-conformances.
• Maintain maintenance KPIs and drive improvements.
