Job summary

Collingswood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, a 160-bed sub-acute and long-term care facility, is seeking a Director of Maintenance to lead all facility maintenance operations and ensure a safe, functional environment for residents and staff.

The role requires at least four years in a maintenance role within a healthcare setting; HVAC certification is preferred. You will supervise staff, manage preventive programs, and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years in a maintenance role.
• Nursing home or healthcare facility experience required.
• HVAC certification strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and system schematics.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
• Must be licensed or certified in accordance with applicable state and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations to ensure the facility is safe, functional, and well-maintained at all times.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs, equipment repairs, and facility systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and facility standards.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality completion of work.
• Maintain and monitor critical facility systems, including boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety standards.
• Interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and system documentation to support maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance documentation.
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies to ensure resident safety and continuity of care.
