Job Summary

The Maintenance Director will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental center compliance in accordance with Federal, State, and Local ordinances, regulations, and building codes. Ensures the center is maintained in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, and free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems. Also responsible for providing quality laundry service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all Environmental Services personnel and daily work in assigned areas, ensuring effective and efficient service while managing expenses, staffing, and resolving interdepartmental issues.
• Implement and maintain the company's preventive maintenance program and record-keeping systems to ensure optimal physical function of the center.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all maintenance activities, including records of parts, materials used, and fuel supply.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in compliance with relevant regulations and codes.
• Collaborate with residents, healthcare staff, and other departments to address environmental service requests, infection prevention, and service improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• One to two years of supervisory experience in a commercial setting with knowledge of laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in long-term care preferred.
• HVAC and maintenance experience required.
• Healthcare experience preferred but can be trained.
