Job summary

Advocate Healthcare of East Boston is seeking a full-time Maintenance Director for our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will oversee maintenance operations, manage staff, budgets and vendors, and ensure compliance with Life Safety and emergency procedures.

With a background in long-term care and hands-on leadership, you will drive safety initiatives, schedule on-call coverage, and coordinate with contractors to maintain a safe, Well-maintained environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• 1 year maintenance experience preferred.
• Driver's License required.
• Able to manage staff, budget and vendors.
• Experience with DPH Life Safety and emergency management is a plus.
• Knowledge of building trades and systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee maintenance operations for the facility.
• Lead staff scheduling, on-call coverage and vendor coordination.
• Manage maintenance budget and procurement of parts and services.
• Ensure Life Safety, fire and environmental compliance.

We are looking to hire a full time maintenance director for our skilled nursing facility.

The Ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

• Professional attitude and appearance,
• Knowledge of hand tools, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, fire systems, hvac,
• Will be a hands on Manager
• Ability to manage staff, budget and vendors
• Experience in the Long Term Care setting is a plus
• Experience with DPH survey, Life Safety, emergency management.
