**Director of Maintenance****Vertical Limit Aviation****Albuquerque, NM****Location: 2502 Clark Carr Loop SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106****Schedule: Full-time; flexibility for operational needs and occasional on-call support.**Are you ready to lead maintenance operations at New Mexico’s premier high-density altitudehelicopter training and service organization?Vertical Limit Aviation is seeking an experienced, safety-focused **Director of Maintenance** tooversee the airworthiness, compliance, and performance of our Robinson R-44 and R-66 fleet (and related support for AS350 BII model). We are the only **Robinson Approved Service Center in the State of New Mexico**, specializing in high-density altitude and mountain flight training, helicopter tours, aerial photography/video, and professional pilot development out of our Albuquerque base.This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise directly supports safe, reliable operations in one of the most challenging and rewarding flying environments in the country.**Key Responsibilities** Serve as the accountable leader for all aircraft maintenance, ensuring full compliancewith FAA regulations (Parts 43, 65, 91, and applicable operational rules), manufacturerrequirements, and company policies. Maintain the continuous airworthiness of our Robinson fleet and support service work onadditional helicopter models. Plan, schedule, and oversee all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, andcomponent tracking (including life-limited parts and TBOs). Act as primary liaison with the FAA and manage audit readiness, records, and qualitysystems. Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team while fostering a strong safety culture. Manage parts inventory, vendors, and maintenance tracking systems to minimizedowntime and support operational reliability. Support the unique demands of high-density altitude and mountain operations. Contribute as a key member of the leadership team alongside operations and trainingleadership.Job Requirements**Qualifications****Required** Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate. Maintenance experience (helicopter preferred) Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations and airworthiness standards. Proven ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready records and lead a compliance-focusedmaintenance operation. Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a dynamic flight school and service center environment.**Preferred / Strongly Desired** Inspection Authorization (IA). Direct experience maintaining **Robinson R-22 and/or R-44** helicopters (a significantplus given our fleet and status as a Robinson Approved Service Center). Prior Director of Maintenance, Assistant DOM, or equivalent leadership experience. Experience in Part 61/141 training environments, Part 135, or Part 145 operations. Familiarity with high-density altitude / mountain operations and related maintenanceconsiderations. Experience with maintenance tracking software and inventory systems.Why Vertical Limit Aviation?
