Job summary

Elliott Davis seeks a Corporate Counsel & Director – Legal and Risk Services to support risk management across jurisdictions. You will advise on contracts, compliance, claims, and litigation, collaborating with the General Counsel on strategic matters.

The role requires strong analytical writing, litigation knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects with business stakeholders. This is a full-time position with opportunities across our offices.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law.
• Minimum of approximately 5 years of experience; in-house or law firm experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills with ability to translate contract language into guidance.
• Working knowledge of civil litigation procedure, discovery, and contract principles.
• Ability to build relationships and advise business leaders on legal risk.

Responsibilities

• Serve as legal advisor to business units, aligning legal risk with business goals.
• Provide guidance on disputes, contracts, and risk-related issues.
• Manage subpoenas, regulatory inquiries, and information requests; coordinate support.
• Draft and review engagement letters, NDAs, and vendor agreements for risk.
• Assist with due diligence and integration in mergers and acquisitions.
