Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Director of Learning Development and Effectiveness to lead the design and execution of enterprise learning strategies that enable workforce capability and align with organizational priorities.

The role partners across a matrixed environment to co-create solutions, implement modern learning practices, and demonstrate impact through data-driven metrics and scalable programs. Strong leadership and healthcare context are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience and 4 years of people leader experience.
• Experience designing and scaling enterprise-wide learning programs in large, complex, or matrixed organizations is required.
• Experience applying adult learning theory, instructional design, and curriculum development to build learning solutions is required.
• Experience establishing learning metrics and evaluating program effectiveness using data and performance outcomes is required.
• Experience using learning technologies, including learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning tools is required.
• Experience in healthcare, hospital systems, or other regulated industries is preferred.
• Experience supporting workforce Learning in compliance-driven or highly regulated environments is preferred.
• Experience leading large-scale learning or organizational change initiatives is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as ATD CPTD, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent are preferred.
