Job summary

The Trust for Public Land is seeking a Director of Learning & Evaluation to lead organization-wide evaluation and learning across programs. The role partners with Research, Field Programs, and Policy to embed rigorous, equity-focused evaluation and translate evidence into practice.

You will build standardized measures tied to five strategic outcomes and develop reusable tools and training to strengthen staff capacity in using data for decision-making and investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Eleven years of experience in program evaluation.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Fluency in both quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods.
• Experience with data collection, data analysis, and visualization tools.
• Commitment to community-based approaches to evaluation.
• Experience creating evaluation frameworks and learning systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead organization-wide evaluation and learning strategy.
• Develop standardized measures aligned with five strategic outcomes.
• Translate findings into recommendations for strategy and investment.
• Manage external evaluators and partnerships.
• Oversee evaluation design and quality oversight.
