Job summary

San Diego Grantmakers seeks a Director of Learning to create and deliver high-quality learning opportunities and conferences for our members. Under the President & CEO, the Director will lead curriculum design to strengthen philanthropy in our region and support cross-sector collaborations focused on equity and impact investing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in developing and implementing programming and events; nonprofit/philanthropic sector preferred.
• excellent writing and research skills; curriculum development, facilitation, adult learning and network building a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging member learning experiences in best practices and trends in philanthropy.
• Collaborate with leadership, Program Committee and partners to develop offerings with community voices in program development.
• Create structure and content for the annual curriculum, including a full day Annual Conference and half-day summits.
• Identify speakers and topics; liaise with speakers to ensure session objectives are met.
• Pilot new learning models and use regional collaborations to expand learning opportunities across San Diego.
• Cultivate partnerships with local, state and national organizations to enhance sessions and events.
• Ensure learning opportunities are accessible throughout the San Diego region, including remote learning options.
