U.S. Department of Labor seeks a Senior Executive Service (SES) leader to oversee critical IT strategy, modernization, and cybersecurity initiatives across a federal agency.

The role requires evidence of ECQs and MTQs, as well as the ability to drive efficiency, manage resources, and deliver results in a complex, dispersed operating environment. Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to lead people, ensure robust cybersecurity practices, and align IT priorities with the agency's mission

Competenze

• TQ 1: Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and modernizing IT strategies and infrastructure to advance a large organization's mission, vision, and goals. This includes integrating emerging technologies and optimizing IT operations to serve a geographically dispersed customer base, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and adaptability to evolving needs.
• TQ 2: Proven leadership in directing and supervising IT staff to develop, administer, and secure agency information technology operations and cybersecurity. Emphasizes fostering maximum productivity, effective public service, and a culture of innovation, while ensuring robust cybersecurity practices and operational excellence across the organization.
• ECQ 1: Commitment to the Rule of Law and the Principles of the American Founding — This core qualification requires a demonstrated knowledge of the American system of government, commitment to uphold the Constitution and the rule of law, and commitment to serve the American people.
• ECQ 2: Driving Efficiency — This core qualification involves the demonstrated ability to strategically and efficiently manage resources, budget effectively, cut wasteful spending, and pursue efficiency through process and technological upgrades.
• ECQ 3: Merit and Competence — This core qualification involves the demonstrated knowledge, ability and technical competence to effectively and reliably produce work that is of exceptional quality.
