Job summary

Carnegie Mellon University seeks a Program Director to lead and coordinate religious life programs, interfaith initiatives, and education across campus. You will partner with students, faculty, staff, and Pittsburgh partners to foster reflection, dialogue, and meaningful engagement with diverse faith traditions.

Responsibilities include designing and delivering training, securing speakers, managing budgets, and supporting the Council of Religious Advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in coaching, pastoral care, program development and implementation, or related fields.
• Experience in higher education and pluralistic/interfaith settings.
• Strong ability to build partnerships with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement programs through a lens of meaning making and interfaith exploration.
• Coordinate speakers, marketing, budgeting, and outcomes assessment for programs.
• Provide spiritual leadership and consultation to campus religious life initiatives and councils.
• Develop trainings to enhance religious literacy and pluralism among students, staff, and faculty.
