TheChichester School District, a diverse school district located in suburban Philadelphia, is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Human Resources.
Serving grades Kindergarten through 12 with an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students and 500 staff, the Director is responsible for the District’s human resources functions, including the recruitment, onboarding, induction, and retention of a diverse work force, the implementation of District policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and negotiation and implementation of all collective bargaining agreements, compensation plans, benefits plans, and labor agreements.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated problem solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. Experience in the Human Resources and/or Education Field, preferably in the public sector, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Salary commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively across all departments and employee groups. Teachers are unionized through PSEA and support staff through AFSCME so familiarity with these organizations is helpful. The position requires regular interaction with the leadership of these groups to ensure all aspects of their collective bargaining agreements are being respected.
