Job summary

Milton Academy seeks an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead the School's HR function and support a community of more than 500 employees. Reporting to the Chief Financial and Operating Officer, the Director will serve as a trusted advisor to School leadership and oversee HR programs and operations that advance Milton's mission and foster a positive employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in HR or business administration.
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP/SCP certification.
• At least 10 years of professional experience with minimum 7 years in HR.
• Experience managing a team and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven ability to partner with senior leaders to advance organizational goals.
• Proficiency in Workday, ADP or similar HRIS platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR function for Milton Academy and oversee recruitment, compensation, payroll, performance management, employee relations, compliance, HR systems, and workforce planning.
• Oversee Workday implementation and integration with HR workflows.
• Develop proactive recruitment strategies and workforce planning in partnership with school leadership.
• Lead the HR budget and ensure policies comply with employment laws and best practices.
• Mentor HR staff and ensure effective team structure and responsive support to the Milton community.
• Collaborate with Leadership Team to foster positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
