Job summary

Allure of Zion is seeking a hands-on Director of Housekeeping & Laundry to lead the Environmental Services team in a long-term care setting. You will drive daily operations, staffing, and quality standards to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable resident environment.

The role requires prior supervisory experience in healthcare housekeeping, knowledge of infection control, and strong leadership with budget awareness. This on-site leadership position offers growth and a supportive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory or management experience in housekeeping/laundry in healthcare settings.
• Infection control knowledge and safety procedures.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; follow detailed instructions.
• HS diploma required; additional environmental services or facility management certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day housekeeping and laundry operations in accordance with regulations.
• Develop, implement and monitor cleaning schedules and staffing assignments.
• Hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate staff; provide coaching.
• Manage department inventory, ordering and budget with Administrator input.
• Coordinate housekeeping with Nursing and other departments to minimize disruption.
• Ensure proper cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting of rooms and common areas.
