Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• IEHA Certified Executive Housekeeper designation preferred.
• ALM Certified Laundry and Linen Management designation preferred.
• Three years experience in housekeeping and/or laundry operations management required.
• Experience in a long-term care facility, hospital, or related medical facility preferred.
• Knowledge of laundry and housekeeping practices, standards, guidelines, and regulations in a long-term care environment.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and internet.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, develops, and directs housekeeping and laundry activities.
• Manages housekeeping: cleaning, washing, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Manages laundry: collection, laundering, redistribution, and inventory of linens.
• Coordinates services with Culinary, Housekeeping, Laundry, Maintenance, Therapy, Activities, and Social Services.
• Develops and maintains housekeeping and laundry policies and procedures.
• May serve as a working supervisor when needed.
• Ensures equipment and supplies are safe and operable; maintains compliance with safety standards.
• Participates in quality assurance and safety committees.
