Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead housekeeping operations with a focus on guest satisfaction and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a track record of managing housekeeping teams in hospitality settings. You will oversee scheduling, training, and safety programs while driving service excellence across rooms and public areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School education; post-high school education preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years in Housekeeping management position.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Inspects suites and public areas for cleanliness and repairs.
• Performs housekeeping duties including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning.
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms during shift.
• Counsels Housekeepers on discrepancies and quality control.
• Notifies GM/Chief Engineer for maintenance repairs as needed.
• Hires, coaches, and disciplines direct reports.
• Performs other duties to meet business objectives.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage
• Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness. Counsels Housekeepers on discrepancies
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary
• Hires, coaches and disciplines direct reports
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years in Housekeeping management position

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
