Job summary

InnVentures is seeking a Director of Housekeeping for Home2 Suites Anchorage, a temporary, full-time leadership role. You will motivate your team to deliver top cleanliness and guest satisfaction, ensuring brand standards are met daily.

You will hire, train, and supervise staff, manage schedules and inventory within budget, and collaborate with Maintenance and Front Desk to achieve a superior guest experience. This position requires flexibility and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping and supervisory experience in hospitality.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to stand, move, lift up to 25 pounds, and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, counsel, motivate and recognize the housekeeping staff.
• Oversee daily operations, inventory, scheduling within a department budget.
• Inspect cleaning standards to ensure quality and brand consistency.
• Greet and assist guests and build guest relationships to foster loyalty.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Front Desk to ensure high quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, counsel, motivate and recognize the housekeeping staff.
• Oversee daily operations, sustainability programs, inventory, ordering, and scheduling all within a set department budget.
• Inspect work performed by the housekeeping staff to ensure quality and cleanliness is top notch and consistent with brand standards.
• Greet and assist guests with all requests. Proactively garner relationships with long term and repeat guests to develop loyalty and maintain satisfaction.
• Work closely with the Maintenance Department and Front Desk to achieve a consistent, high quality product resulting in above average customer satisfaction scores.
• Ensure safe working practices and procedures are followed by all employees while maintaining department productivity requirements.

Previous housekeeping and supervisory experience in hospitality, property management or healthcare is required. To be successful in this role, you need strong verbal and written communication skills. This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving up to 25 pounds. You must also be able to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions, including climbing up to four flights of stairs. Applicants must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

For Employees Based in Washington:

• 8 paid holidays per year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
• Paid Sick & Safe Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, with up to 72 hours of unused time carried over from one anniversary year to the next.

For Employees Based in Colorado:

• 8 paid holidays per year; employees working in the City of Denver receive 64 hours of designated holiday time per calendar year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
• 6 days or 48 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year, accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.

For Employees Based in California:

• 8 paid holidays per year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service, capped at 1.5x annual accrual rate; non-supervisory employees working in the City of Los Angeles accrue up to 22 days of Compensated Time Off, based on length of service capped at 192 hours of combined PST and CTO.
• Paid Sick Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, unused time is carried over from one anniversary year to the next up to a maximum of 80 hours; employees working in the City of Los Angeles are provided 40 hours of Paid Sick Time annually on their anniversary, unused time is not carried over from one anniversary year to the next.

Please note that certain benefits described above for associates in Washington, Colorado, and California may vary for associates covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (“CBA”). For such associates, eligibility for and the terms and conditions of benefits are governed by the applicable CBA and any applicable plan documents, and may differ from the benefits described above. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency, the terms of the applicable CBA and governing plan documents will control, as applicable.
