Job summary

Light a Single Candle Foundation (LASC) in St. Louis, MO seeks a Director of New Partnership Development to identify and cultivate new partners to advance poverty relief and development initiatives across our seven-country footprint.

You will lead outreach, manage relationships, and coordinate with leadership to grow impact while traveling internationally and domestically as needed. The role requires 3–5 years in business development, a bachelor’s degree, strong Excel/Microsoft Office skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years’ professional experience in cultivating new business relationships.
• Non‑profit experience preferred or ability to succeed in nonprofit environment.
• Willingness to travel 8–10 weeks per year, domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate new Partners to scale and develop LASC’s mission.
• Initiate outreach, schedule conversations, and build a pipeline of prospects across focus areas.
• Engage with current Partners and solicit new Partner leads as required.
• Conduct international site visits with LASC leadership and partners.
• Lead Partner identification and qualification efforts to grow interventions.
• Coordinate with international program officers across LASC’s footprint (7 countries).
• Prepare regular updates on progress, risks, and opportunities with prospective Partners.
