Job summary

Agate Housing seeks a Director of Development and Communications to lead fundraising growth, marketing, and communications. You will drive annual giving, major and planned gifts, and partnerships with foundations and corporations to support operations and capital needs.

The role also strengthens Agate's visibility and stakeholder engagement across programs. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will oversee the development and communications team, ensure consistent messaging, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of fundraising experience with a track record of success.
• Experience developing and executing fundraising strategies and closing major gifts.
• Experience securing major grant funding and working with funders.
• Commitment to Agate Housing and Services' mission.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising strategy including annual giving, major gifts, and foundations.
• Oversee marketing and communications to strengthen brand and external engagement.
• Provide leadership to development and communications teams and volunteers.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and government contracts for aligned messaging.
• Cultivate high-level donors and manage stakeholder relationships.
