Capital One seeks a Director, Software Engineering for Bank Tech in McLean, VA. You will lead multiple product-focused engineering teams, mentor engineers, and drive cloud-native strategies across AWS and modern architectures.

You will partner with product managers and executives to translate business goals into scalable platforms, foster inclusivity, mentor engineers, and guide architectural decisions for resilient, high-velocity delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS or related quantitative field; statistics/economics acceptable.
• At least 5 years of people management experience.
• At least 7 years in software engineering, architecture, and cloud design.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Data architecture and enterprise architecture experience.
• Strong leadership in Agile environments and cross-team collaboration.
