Job summary

National Geographic Society seeks a Director, Philanthropic Foundation Partnerships to lead fundraising from private foundations and develop strategic, long-term partnerships. Based at the Society's Washington, DC headquarters, you will oversee outreach, proposal development, and stakeholder communications to meet multi-million dollar targets.

• Secure institutional philanthropic funding from private foundations; target $3M+ annually.
• Develop outreach, proposals, and collaboration with leadership to secure major grants.
• Build long-term relationships with prospects; craft funding proposals and presentations.
• Ensure timely, accurate narrative and financial reporting to partners.
