Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Food Service and Child Nutrition to join our team at Edgewood ISD District Wide. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our food service and child nutrition programs across the district.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and manage the food service and child nutrition programs in accordance with district policies and federal and state regulations.
2. Ensure the provision of nutritious, well-balanced, and appealing meals to students.
3. Monitor and control food service operations to ensure quality of food and customer service.
4. Collaborate with school administrators, staff, and parents to promote healthy eating habits among students.
5. Manage the budget and financial aspects of the food service program.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in food service management, preferably in an educational setting.
2. Strong knowledge of child nutrition and dietary needs.
3. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
4. Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
7. Certifications in food service management or related field will be an added advantage.
