Director of Food and Nutrition Services / Registered Dietitian (RD)

Join Noland Health Services, Inc. as the Director of Food and Nutrition Services / Registered Dietitian (RD).

Must be a Registered Dietitian to be considered.

Summary of Duties

Plan, organize, develop, and direct the Dietary Department, serving as Dietitian for residents in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Essential Job Functions

• Assess residents' dietary needs and implement nutritional care plans.
• Monitor high-risk residents and adjust approaches as needed.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate dietary programs and activities.
• Assist in resident care planning, assessments, and ensure dietary personnel follow care plans.
• Plan dietary services for resident discharge planning.
• Prepare regular and therapeutic diets, process diet changes, and provide suitable food substitutions.
• Recruit, interview, and select dietary staff.
• Schedule work hours, personnel, and assignments.
• Conduct training, in-service classes, and performance evaluations for dietary staff.
• Coordinate with other departments and visit residents to evaluate meal quality.
• Participate in Quality Assurance processes and address dietary complaints or deficiencies.
• Inspect storage and food service areas for cleanliness and proper inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or related field required. Must be a Registered Dietitian licensed in Alabama. At least two years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, with long-term care experience preferred. Completion of Serve Safe Program required.
