Work on spacecraft, whilst building a team and taking full ownership over the systems that make the missions possible.
This is a rare opportunity to join a well funded space start up who are looking for someone to take ownership of their flight system team. You'll be defining hardware and software architecture, and leading the teams behind flight software, power and propulsion, and their flight computers. You'll shape the system from its earliest stages, all the way through to launch.
The scope here is broad - you'll be working directly with embedded software, FPGA, electrical, and systems engineers. That variety will keep the work demanding and the learning constant, and you'll be building the type of end to end technical leadership experience that's difficult to build.
There's a real organizational side to this role as well - you'll build and mentor a multidisciplinary team, own all the flight readiness decisions, and will be representing your function at the executive level. The decisions you make will have a direct impact on both mission and business success.
The role is based on site in El Segundo, Los Angeles. The base salary for this role is in the region of $270k - $300k, with equity, medical coverage, and 401(k) on top.
