Job summary

The Oregon Department of Education seeks a Director of Fiscal Transparency to lead K-12 financial reporting and governance within the Office of Finance and Administration. This senior role balances strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of system modernization and data integrity.

Qualifications

Seven years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR four years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities in public, governmental, educational, or nonprofit organizations.
Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and data governance in complex organizations.

Responsibilities

Leading Oregon's K-12 financial reporting and transparency strategy.
Directing financial systems modernization and data governance.
Leading staff, partnerships, and continuous engagement and improvement efforts.
Manage daily activities including reviews with staff and project leads on fiscal transparency initiatives, collaboration with internal Department teams and staff, guidance with external partners and future plans.
