Job summary

Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) seeks a Director of Financial Reporting & Allocation Strategy to lead enterprise allocations and ensure accurate financial reporting across entities. You will drive process simplification, integrate TBM with IUC, and partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable allocation solutions.

This role requires 8+ years in Finance/Tax, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of TBM, Apptio, and advanced Excel/BI tools. Hybrid work with a global, diverse team is available.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Tax or equivalent experience; graduate degree an asset.
• Minimum 8 years in Finance, Accounting or Tax.
• 4+ years supervisory/management experience.
• 3+ years public accounting would be ideal.
• 5+ years insurance/reinsurance accounting ideal but not required.
• Experience with TBM taxonomy preferred.
• Experience with Apptio platform preferred.
• Advanced Excel or BI tools.
• Broad business practices knowledge.
• Strong multitasking and delegation skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to convey complex tax issues to senior management.
• CPA is an ideal asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide allocation strategy for transparency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Integrate TBM with IUC process for a unified allocation framework.
• Act as key liaison between service providers and recipients.
• Maintain transfer pricing documentation with Global Tax.
• Maintain and enhance Apptio platform and allocation methodologies.
• Support entity restructurings ensuring alignment of management and legal perspectives.
• Design and re-engineer allocation processes to meet regulatory/tax requirements.
• Understand material reorganizations for proper IUC integration.
• Promote clarity and simplicity in allocation methodologies.
